Ever since the ban on Steven Smith and David Warner, the Australian team is suffering like no other. The respective board failed to get their places replaced by the best thus missing the trick to taste the success. Meanwhile, the former great, Shane Warne has asked the Australians to kick up themselves to run back on the victory course.
The flamboyant cricketer added the Cricket Australia needs to be smart in their selection. He also cited handing vice-captaincy to Mitchell Marsh looks strange, especially, with Nathan Lyon in the ranks.
It’s been pretty ordinary by Australia – Shane Warne
Shane Warne quoted there is everyone in Australia to support the team, but he feels the players need to kick themselves to wake up and score for the country.

Further, he pointed out the selection criteria by the Cricket Australia. He wants the players, who are performing in the domestic cricket should be in the national setup rather than going with the big names.
“It’s been pretty ordinary, hasn’t it?” the Australian spin legend told reporters on Monday. “We all support the Aussie side as we do but they need a kick up the backside at the moment because they’re not performing well.” Shane Warne quoted.

“I hadn’t even thought before that series that he had established himself in the team,” Warne said. “I don’t think he’s cemented a spot and that’s why it was a strange selection for me as vice-captain. “He only averages 25 or 26 in Test cricket,” he added to his lines.
I am a huge fan of Marsh brothers – Shane Warne
The legendary person also added he is the big fan of Marsh brother but he won’t support their selection. He wants them to score in the domestic circuit and get back into the team with some fine display of cricket.

“I am a huge fan of Marsh brothers but Mitchell Marsh needs to go and make some runs. If Mitchell Marsh comes out and makes some hundreds, pick him. If Shaun Marsh makes some hundreds, pick him. If they don’t, then pick the guys who are in form,” he inferred.
However, Shane Warne has got the valid points in his kitty. As he said, the player selection should be on the basis of the domestic performance but not on individuals’ previous records and their name and fame.
