Pakistan vs New Zealand 2018: Twitter Reacts as Yasir Shah Demolishes Kiwis
Updated - 26 Nov 2018, 05:00 PM
New Zealand was bundled out for only 90 runs in the first innings of the second Test against Pakistan, courtesy eight-wicket haul from Yasir Shah. The leg-spinner was too good for the tourist’s batsmen as he bamboozled them with extra spin. There was a lot on offer for the leggie in Dubai and Shah was able to make most of the spinning conditions.

Yasir Shah took 8-41 to push the tourists behind the eight-ball. Thus, the Kiwis trail by a gargantuan margin 328 runs as Pakistan had amassed 418 in their first innings. In fact, the Blackcaps were 50-0 at one stage. However, it was Yasir Shah show as the leg-spinner spun the web on the visitor’s batsmen.
Yasir Shah was on fire.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 28 runs. Meanwhile, Sarfraz Ahmed has decided to enforce the follow-on. New Zealand opener Jeet Raval and Tom Latham scored 31 and 22 respectively. However, it was a different story altogether after the opening partnership.
No other batsman batting at number four or below was able to cross four runs. Therefore, it was a one-way traffic as the Kiwi batsmen crumbled like a house of cards. In fact, there were six ducks in the New Zealand innings.

The score of 90 runs is the lowest tally by any team while playing at Dubai. Meanwhile, the figures of 8-41 are career-best figures for Yasir Shah.

On the other hand, New Zealand is currently leading by 1-0 in the three-match series. Kane Williamson-led side had won the first match by the skin of their teeth as they had won by four runs. Consequently, Pakistan looks also set to draw level in the series.
