Former Australia batsman, Damien Martyn has revealed that playing a charity match under MS Dhoni in 2015 is the greatest moment in his cricketing career.
In a friendly 20-over game at The Oval, former India skipper, MS Dhoni-led a team ‘Help For Heroes XI’ against Rest Of The World XI. Many prominent international stars took part in it. Damien Martyn played alongside Dhoni.
Damien Martyn posted a picture on social media of that game. He tells his fans that playing alongside MS Dhoni is his greatest career moment. Martyn was elated to play under the three-time ICC trophy winner finally.
Damien Martyn wrote on Instagram, “Ppl always ask what is your greatest moments in cricket …& I can tell you after a charity game in London I had the privilege of playing along side MS Dhoni After playing against this legend for so long was great to finally meet him and try”.
MS Dhoni to play in IPL next year.
In a rather disappointing season for Chennai Super Kings – failing to qualify for the playoffs – one cheerful news for the fans is that skipper, MS Dhoni will be playing for the yellow army next season as well. MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket on 15th August earlier this year, was speculated to move away from the IPL as well.

However, a cheeky ‘Definitely not’ at the toss of CSK’s last league game by the man himself confirmed his availability for the next season. CSK finished at the 7th position on the points table, and Dhoni’s form with the bat was also saddening.
Not only he couldn’t finish the inning strongly anymore, but he also struggled horribly for timing and could hit just 7 sixes in the entire season. Fans would hope to see their ‘Thala’ back in form as soon as the IPL 2021 is expected to be slated in April next year.
