There was no Jasprit Bumrah but Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav were ruthless and unplayable as Bangladeshi batsmen danced to their tunes and were knocked out in the opening Test. Speaking of the same, the Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque feels playing Indian fast bowlers under lights with the pink ball will be a massive challenge.

Perhaps, the Indian national cricket team never got the better bowling lineup than the current unit. The bowlers have been quite impressive on overseas tours and always did their best to get the better of the opposition. Even in the spin conditions, fast bowlers are excelling to perform better for India.

It will be challenging – Mominul Haque

Mominul Haque showered words of praise on India’s bowling attack, who never gave them a chance to get those runs in the first game. He feels facing the world-class bowlers like Indians will be a tough task, especially, under the lights. However, Mominul Haque believes it is positive for Bangladesh team.

“India have world-class fast bowlers. Under lights, it will be more challenging. But we are taking it positively and I think it will be a challenge for any team and not only for Bangladesh,” he expressed.

We didn’t get any practice match –

Bangladesh, like India, are also playing their first pink-ball Test with none of their squad members having prior experience. At least a practice match would have done the trick for them, however, the skipper of Bangladesh Mominul Haque wants to remove such thoughts out from his mind in order to concentrate on the present.

“Going forward, we would like to have a practice match before a pink ball Test,” Mominul told reporters on the eve of the match. We didn’t get any practise match before this. We can’t ponder on that. We have to focus on what we have,” he said.

Well, Bangladesh have many areas to address before heading to the Pink Ball Test, which is to be played at Eden Gardens at Kolkota. Most Probably, Bangladesh would make a few changes to the side, as they looked pretty ordinary compared to the Indian team at Indore.
