Pravin Tambe Among The Two Indian Cricketers In The 2020 Caribbean Premier League Draft

Pravin Tambe and hard-hitting batsman from Railways and Royal Challengers Bangalore Asad Pathan are the lone Indian cricketers, who will be a part of the 537-player Caribbean Premier League draft, according to a report published in ESPNCricinfo.
The 2020 edition of the Caribbean Premier League is set to take place between August 18 and September 10 behind closed doors in Trinidad and Tobago.
A total of 537 players have registered for the virtual draft and according to the report, the likes of Chris Lynn, Rashid Khan have already been sold to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and defending champions Barbados Tridents respectively.
Former South African batsman Rilee Rossouw has been picked up by St Lucia Zouks while Afghanistan’s Qais Ahmed will play for Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Pravin Tambe, who was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 IPL Auction, vying for a place in CPL
Coming back to Pravin Tambe, the veteran spinner, who was a key component of the Rajasthan Royals outfit between 2013-2015, was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 IPL Auction.
However, he was forced to withdraw due to his prior involvement in the Abu Dhabi T10 League back in 2018.
Meanwhile, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is listed in the highest base price bracket of $160,000 followed by England’s World Cup-winning captain, who is listed at a base price of $130,000.
The likes of Tom Banton, Tim Southee, Ben Cutting have been slotted in the $110,000 range. The other marquee names who have registered for the draft include the South African duo of Faf du Plessis and David Miller, Australian swashbuckling opener D’Archy Short, Nepal sensation Sandeep Lamichhane and the Afghanistan superstar duo of Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman- all of whom are listed at $90,000.
