Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi produced another masterclass he helped his team Karachi King’s defeat Multan Sultans in match 22 of the PSL. Karachi captain Afridi picked up three crucial wickets.
Afridi dismissed all the three batsmen by rattling their stumps. His three victims were Kieron Pollard, Shoaib Malik and Saif Babar. He conceded just 18 runs in his four overs.
However, the best wicket out of the three was delivery to dismiss the dangerous Pollard.
Afridi got the ball to pitch on the leg stump the ball turned massively and went on to hit the off stump.
Pollard was left stunned after he was dismissed while Afridi continued to celebrate the wicket in a trademark Shahid Afridi style.
Batting first, Karachi Kings posted a respectable total of 188/3 in their quota of 20 overs. Joe Denly starred for Karachi with a 55-ball 78 while Babar Azam also scored a half-century and scored 58. New Zealand batsman Colin Ingram also played a quickfire innings of 29 off just eight deliveries which included four sixes.
Karachi bowlers then made a mockery of the Multan batsmen as they were bundled out for just 125 in 19.4 overs.
As far as the points table is concerned, Karachi are at the third position on the points table with four wins under their belt. On the other hand, Multan are at 4th with 9 points from seven matches.
