Rajasthan Royals Bag David Miller For INR 75 Lakhs In IPL 2020 Auction

For the first time in David Miller’s career, he will feature for a different franchise other than Kings XI Punjab. After Preity Zinta-owned franchise releasing him for the IPL 2020 Auction, Rajasthan Royals snapped him for INR 75 Lakhs. Miller is a left-handed batsman, who is renowned for his power-hitting.

Miller was signed up by Punjab for the 2011 IPL season for a price of $100,000 as a replacement for Dimitri Mascarenhas but did not play in a single game. David Miller’s fortunes turned for the better in the 2013 edition of the IPL. Miller was the highest run-getter for Punjab.

He scored 418 runs at an average of 59.71. He scored three fifties and a hundred. The hundred came off 38 balls against Bangalore and is the third fastest in the IPL. His big-hitting was the talk of the town. The Punjab side retained Miller in the 2014 auctions.

Now, the stylish southpaw has made a move to Rajasthan Royals. The flamboyant batsman slowly fading out and in the finishing stages of his IPL career. However, he would like to turn the tables with the opportunity in Rajasthan’s Jersey for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

Apart from David Miller, Rajasthan Royals picked the likes of Robin Uthappa, Jaydev Unadkat and Yashasvi Jaiswal. They are involved in some intense bidding for the players like Glenn Maxwell, Shimron Hetmyer and Aaron Finch, but they ended up on the wrong side.
