Kings XI Punjab and Steve Smith took hilarious digs at each other after their stars Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith’s fine performances with the bat in the ongoing first ODI against India.

Batting first, Australia piled up a mammoth total of 374 for 6 in the allotted 50 overs. Smith and Maxwell were two of the main architects of the big total. Aaron Finch led from the very front and scored 114 in addition to sharing a 156-run stand with David Warner for the first wicket.

After them, Steve Smith took charge of the innings and scored his fastest ODI ton, reaching the landmark in just 62 balls. He was eventually out for 105 off 66 balls with the help of 11 fours and four sixes.

Maxwell, on the other hand, played a fine cameo off 45 balls off just 19 balls. His knock came just few days after his disastrous performance in IPL where he managed to score just 108 runs from 11 innings at a paltry average of 15.42 and a dismal strike-rate of 101.88.

Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab take shots at each other:

As Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell were taking India to the cleaners, their IPL franchises could not help but take shots at each other. Both the players had failed to deliver as per expectations in the IPL but didn’t take long to rediscover their best form for their national teams.

Rajasthan Royals started the banter by asking Kings XI Punjab: “Hi haal hai (roughly translates to How are you)”

Well, Kings XI Punjab didn’t take long to respond to Rajasthan Royals as they quickly pointed out Smith’s performance. The Punjab-based outfit also hilariously pointed out that they as well as Royals were in pain after Smith and Maxwell’s contrasting performances in IPL and in the ongoing ODI match.
