The ongoing third edition of the Pakistan Super League has offered some scintillating cricketing action as all the teams look to cement their best starting XI. Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad plays for Multan Sultans and the new team are hopeful of a good show.

Shehzad, who is known for his gifted stroke-making ability, took time out to make his Dream Team in a fantasy cricket league. The batsman picked spin sensation Rashid Khan in his team and the Afghani tweaker thanked Shehzad for picking him.

Apart from Rashid, Shehzad snapped Kevin Pietersen, Thisara Perera, Tymall Mills and Andre Russell among his foreign picks. His tweet read, “Had fun putting together my T20 team on the Cricket Fantasy League today that will #BeatLalaKiTeam!! Let’s rock this app together..can u make a team that beats them all??!! Well what u waiting for!!”
Cant make my team without you brother. Congrats on the fab win 2day ??

Rashid, who is currently participating in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers, missed out on this year’s PSL but thanked Shehzad for roping him in the cricketer’s Dream Team. Shehzad replied saying that the team couldn’t have been completed without Rashid.

Clearly, the twitter conversation between the two made the fans excited and many retweeted the same. Rashid was earlier named the captain of the Afghanistan team. The Afghan side will take on Zimbabwe this weekend, making him the youngest captain in the history of international cricket. Former Bangladesh captain Rajin Saleh holds the current ODI record of leading his country at the age of 20 years and 297 days.
The spinner was instrumental in Afghanistan’s victory over Zimbabwe, where he took 16 wickets. In the process, he became the youngest cricketer and the only teenager to be ranked No. 1 by the ICC. The ICC qualifiers are taking place in Zimbabwe and Rashid might well create new records and take his team to the main event next year.
