India allrounder Hardik Pandya and his partner Natasa Stankovic on Sunday confirmed they are expecting their first child together. The star cricketer took to Instagram to reveal the big news as he posted a number of photos to make the news public.
One of those pictures also made it more or less clear that the two have tied the knot in a low-key ceremony. Both of them were seen wearing varmala while performing a traditional ceremony. In another picture, the cricketer could be seen resting his hand gently on Natasa’s baby bump.
“Natasa and I have had a great journey together and it is just about to get better; Together we are excited to welcome a new life into our lives very soon. We’re thrilled for this new phase of our life and seek your blessings and wishes,” wrote Hardik Pandya on social media as the expecting couple posed all smiles for the camera.
Soon after the news became public, a host of Indian cricketers and India head coach Ravi Shastri congratulated the duo for the good news. Skipper Virat Kohli commented on Hardik Pandya’s post and congratulated the couple for the third member of their clan.
The likes of Shastri, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammed Shami were among others to wish the pair.
Meanwhile, major cricket action around the world is currently suspended due to the pandemic. If not for the pandemic, the Indian cricketers would have been taking a break from the game after a busy IPL. IPL 2020 was scheduled to start on March 29 and end on May 17. However, the BCCI has suspended the league indefinitely in the light of the current situation.
