Indian skipper Virat Kohli tied the knot with Bollywood Diva Anushka Sharma on the 11th of December in Tuscany, Italy. A storm took the world of media with the two superstars engaging themselves in life officially. Twitter was flooded with messages all over the globe wishing the two all the luck in the future. However, the marriage was an all private affair with only a few close friends and family invited.
21st December will see the couple host a reception in New Delhi for the stretched family members and friends. The celebration will be followed by another grand fiesta on the 26th in Mumbai which will see celebrities from the world of Bollywood and Cricket grace the occasion.
From Amitabh Bachchan to Sachin Tendulkar, from Shoaib Akhtar to Shahid Afridi, from Shah Rukh Khan to Priyanka Chopra, a plethora of dignitaries wished the couple except for one. The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri was missing from the list of celebrities to wish Kohli. As they say ‘better late than never’, Ravi Shastri has finally come up with a tweet for the couple.
Shastri took to Twitter, to wish Kohli and Anushka all the happiness in their married life. The tweet read “Many congratulations young man. God bless you two with all the happiness and a blissful married life. Happiness”.
Virat Kohli who has a tremendous bond with the coach, was quick to pitch in with a reply. Virat Kohli thanked the former Indian international for the wish. The reply read “Thank you Ravi Bhai.”.
Virat Kohli was in full support of Ravi Shastri to take over as the Indian head coach, after his disputes with the previous coach, Anil Kumble. Shastri and Kohli is believed to have a smooth and healthy relationship, and the combination has worked massively well for the national team.
Thank you Ravi Bhai. 😊
