Ravichandran Ashwin has been one of the many cricketers who has stayed active in the social media amid current circumstances. The potent off-spinner has hosted several notable fellow teammates in a talk show named “Reminisce with Ash”, recollecting some past events and glorious moments. The 33-year old last represented the national team in the Wellington Test against New Zealand in February. The off-spinner took three wickets as the visitors or the then number one Test team lost the game by ten wickets. 2019 turned out as a productive year for Ashwin, having taken 20 wickets in five Tests at 24.15. He is the first-choice spinner for India in the most extended version.
I am getting really itchy inside the house: Ravichandran Ashwin
In a conversation with Sadhguru, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed that he is getting restless sitting inside the house and is craving to head outdoors and play.
“Initially I felt like I was okay, but now I’m getting really itchy, I want to go out and play, or do something like that, I am getting really itchy inside the house,” Ashwin said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Like all other cricketers, the 71-Test veteran Ashwin has been confined to his home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, having wreaked havoc across the world. Ashwin would have found himself on the field for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year, which also stood suspended in the wake of a virus outbreak.
