IPL 2020: Ricky Ponting Highlights The Intense Competition For Spots Amongst Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals has received praises from plenty of plaudits for the depth in their squad, and head coach Ricky Ponting cited the presence of competition too. Not only has Delhi Capitals received appreciations for their smart pickings but also have been tipped to lift their maiden IPL trophy this year. Ricky Ponting, who has served as the coach of Mumbai Indians as well, has triggered progress with Delhi too.

Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Capitals reached the playoffs last year for the first time since 2012. The bedrock of their reasonably successful campaign was Iyer’s smart and shrewd captaincy, their openers’ success, and their pace battery for which the leader was Kagiso Rabada. They lost to the Chennai Super Kings in the playoffs; however, managed to garner accolades for their fighting spirit.
