IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals' Coach Ricky Ponting Promises To Take The Team One Step Further Next Year

It was not the night for Ricky Ponting’s Delhi Capitals on the night of IPL 2020 final as Mumbai Indians entirely outplayed them. Delhi Capitals put up a valiant fight in their first final of the tournament history; however, the defending champions proved to be extraordinary. While disappointed with the loss, Ricky Ponting underlined that it is a step forward and will aim to go the extra step next year.

Ricky Ponting, who found success as the coach of Mumbai Indians, has served as one for the Delhi Capitals since last year. And it has been an improvement for the franchise after undergoing some lean years, making it to the playoffs in 2019 and final in 2020. Delhi Capitals were outstanding in the first half of the edition; however, began experiencing a drastic decline in the second part.
