Robin Singh Replaces Dougie Brown As UAE's Director Of Cricket

The former all-rounder of the Indian National Cricket Team Robin Singh has been appointed as the Director of Cricket for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He replaced Dougie Brown, who worked as the head coach of the team for a while now. As per the local media of UAE, Robin took charge on Wednesday.
During the period of Brown, UAE cricket faced a torrid time, with the senior players involving in the fixing scandal. It jolted the cricket board, as they are finding ways to develop the game in the country.
Now, Robin has got the work to clean up the mess and put UAE on the right track.
Without a selection committee, Brown was forced to pick the teams for the series against Scotland and the United States at home last December, and against Oman and Namibia in Muscat in January, for the World Cup League Two matches.
Well, It was a surprise move and now, they sacked him from the head coach role.
Robin Singh was part of Mumbai Indians set up in IPL:
Robin is one of the best coaches available in the market with an added advantage of his experience. He was part of Mumbai Indians (MI) set up in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also associated with Barbados Tridents of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) since 2013. He also took part in the T10 league organised in UAE.
He appeared for the Indian team in 136 ODI matches and a lone Test from 1989 to 2001. He scored 2236 runs with the bat and picked 69 wickets with the best figures of 5/22. After his stint as a player, he garnered a huge name for his coaching role.
One of Robin’s finest knocks for India came in the 3rd final of the Independence Cup against Pakistan in 1998. Chasing a massive 315, he was promoted up the order to No. 3 and he hit a resolute 83-ball 82 and more importantly, was involved in a crucial 179-run stand with Sourav Ganguly to help India cross the line.
