Team India opener Rohit Sharma has cleared the yo yo test with flying colours which made him eligible to play in the ODI and T20I series in Ireland and England. As per reports, it was learnt that Rohit had failed the yo-yo test twice during the Indian Premier League.
Hence the BCCI Kept Ajinkya Rahane as the standby player incase Rohit didn’t manage to pass the fitness test. However, Rohit has denied that he failed the test twice and stated it pretty clear that it was the first time he underwent the test and urged everyone else to verify first before reporting anything.
He took a dig at all the people who had trolled him earlier when it was learnt that he hadn’t passed the yo-yo tests earlier. Taking to his twitter handle he wrote, Dear… it’s no ones business how & where I spend my time. I’m entitled to have time off as long as I follow protocol. Let’s debate some real news shall we & to a few channels,I had just 1 chance to clear my yo-yo that was today. Verification before reporting is always a good idea.

Rohit has been an integral part of the Indian limited overs squad over the past 5-6 years. Ever since being elevated as an opener of the limited overs team Rohit has made giant strides and has gone on to become one of the best openers in the world at the moment. He is the only batsman in the history of the game to smash more than one double century, 3 to be exact. When set Rohit can literally toy with any bowling attack.
Rohit had a poor IPL
He wasn’t at his sublime best during the Indian Premier League. It reflected in the performance of Mumbai Indians as well. This was the first time he failed to score more than 300 runs in the season. However, he is a class act and it shouldn’t be a problem for him to get into the groove once the series against England kick off.
