The 37th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) face off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, April 27 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. So far, RR have won four out of seven matches and hold the third position in the league standings.

However, they have lost their previous two games and will be eager to bounce back with a win. In their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, they fell short in their chase of 190 runs, losing by seven runs. Bowlers Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma took two wickets each, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal each claimed one wicket.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings have won five out of their seven games and currently occupy the top spot in the league standings. In their latest match against Kolkata Knight Riders, they posted the highest total of the season, scoring 235 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs, with half-centuries from Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shivam Dube.

KKR’s innings was interrupted by some good bowling spells, resulting in them finishing with 186 runs for the loss of eight wickets with Chennai Super Kings emerging victorious by 49 runs.

Trent Boult Misses Another Game Against Chennai Super Kings With A Niggle

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and talked about going to bat first and thanked the fans for coming to support the team in their 200th game.

Samson also spoke on the changes to the team as Trent Boult for the second time this season missed the game against the Chennai Super Kings due to a niggle.

“We will like to bat first on this ground. Looks like a good wicket to bat on and let’s see how it goes. Of course, we will try to stick to our strengths and the climate, the weather is different. Chennai Super Kings have been enjoying a successful run lately, winning their last three matches in a row, with the last two being particularly dominant victories.

However, they suffered a loss at their home ground to Rajasthan Royals. The Royals managed to secure a win in their previous encounter in Chepauk, which should give them some confidence heading into this match, despite coming off two consecutive losses.
