Rajasthan Royals (RR) spinner Adam Zampa lauded the duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel after their win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 37th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that both are young and played beautifully.

Rajasthan Royals managed their 5th win of the tournament after they thumped Chennai Super Kings by massive 32 runs. They now sit at the top of the points with 10 wins under their belt. They batted and bowled exceptionally well and made the opposition look clueless.

Zampa lauded the young duo for their heroics and said that they have been consistently performing throughout the tournament. Speaking during the post-match presentation, he said:

While it was the duo of Jaiswal and Jurel that shined with the bat, Adam Zampa was the wrecker-in-chief for RR with the ball. The leg-spinner bowled exceptionally well and took three crucial wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad (47), Devon Conway (8), and Moeen Ali (23). He returned with the figures of 3/21 whereas R Ashwin picked two wickets as RR restricted CSK to 170 runs to win the game by 32 runs.

Adam Zampa said that he has been playing good cricket for a while and is always ready for challenges. He said that he picked up Theekshana’s tactics and gave a little bit of pace. He said:

“I have been playing cricket for a long time, mentally ready and prepared for whoever you are playing against. Train a little bit and enjoy the poolside. Great. We have been under the pump the last couple of days, boys put up an amazing total on a pretty tricky pitch.

To get a couple of wickets was a nice feeling. I watched Theekshana, a little bit of extra pace and a little bit shorter than usual, hopefully the ball skids on a bit and does its job.”

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be next seen in action when they will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next game on Sunday (30th April).
