The legendary India batsman, Sachin Tendulkar sents his congratulatory note to another champion batsman, Rahul Dravid.

It is well known that Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid share a great bonhomie on and off the field. In fact, both the legends of the game played with each other for 16 years in the Indian team.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid got included in the ICC hall of fame recently by the governing body. Dravid was honoured with the prestigious post along with former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting and ex-England’s wicketkeeper, Claire Taylor.

Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were the pillars of Indian cricket.

In fact, Rahul Dravid became the fifth Indian player to receive the honours. The Wall joined the likes of Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Anil Kumble.

However, Dravid who is with India A side could not receive his honour by himself.

Rahul Dravid made his Test debut against England at Lord’s in 1995. He went on to show the early promise, as he scored a classical 95 in his maiden innings at the International arena.

Furthermore, Rahul Dravid achieved great success as a Test batsman. He went on to score 13,288 runs in the red-ball form. Moreover, he was also able to improve as the One-Day batter. The right-hander went on to score more than 10,000 runs in the 50-overs format.

Thus, Rahul Dravid was named the ICC Cricketer of the year in 2004. He was also named the ICC Test Cricketer of the year in the same year. Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to sents his wishes to his former teammate. Master Blaster post read as,

“Congratulations, Rahul Dravid. The wall is finally in the HALL? Much deserved”.
