The Hitman of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma played an exceptional knock and became the 2nd batsman in history to score three T20I centuries, as India registered a comprehensive victory by seven wickets in the 3rd and the deciding T20I against England at the County Ground in Bristol. However, Rohit missed a century by a whisker during the opening T20I against Ireland.

He hadn’t scored too many runs in the series. Given the stature of Rohit especially in the limited-overs format, a big score was just around the corner.

He smashed some excellent shots throughout his innings and was instrumental in India chasing the target of 199 down with eight deliveries to spare. Rohit started off with some exquisite drives and cuts. He smashed a couple of consecutive sixes and never looked back from there.

Rohit – A Big match player

He kept riding on confidence and kept depositing every English bowler all around Bristol. On a small ground like Bristol and with the amount of range Rohit had he was always going to clear the ropes on most occasions.

His unbeaten knock of 100 off 56 deliveries studded with 11 fours and five sixes.

The legendary Sachin Tendulkar hailed Rohit and the Indian team following a wonderful victory.

“Such clean hitting by @ImRo45!! This innings was a pure joy to watch. Hope this form translates to the ODIs. (Thanks for helping my 19th over prediction come true,” Tendulkar wrote.
