He was already named as the brand ambassador of the league.

The T20 league will start on March 11, and the final of the tournament will be played on March 11.

All the matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The six teams who are participating in the tournament are Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, and Mumbai South.

The T20 league has followed the footsteps of IPL.

An auction will take place before the league commences and franchises will purchase players on the auction day.

A total of Rs 35 Lakhs can be spent on players’ salary while Rs 15 Lakhs can be spent on coaches.

Before the start, the state association has also laid the down the rules of participation.

Only local players are allowed to be the part of the league.

This means that players who are playing for Mumbai or can play for them from the next season are allowed to be part of the league.

It implies that players like Sarfaraz Khan and Wasim Jaffer cannot be part of the league.

While Sarfaraz is playing for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, Jaffer switched his base to Vidarbha a few years back.

Both the players have played for Mumbai in the past, though.

Players like Iqbal Abdullah and Bhavin Thakkar are allowed to play the league.

They also switched their base to Kerala before 2016/17 season.

However, they are in line to make a comeback for Mumbai and are currently serving one-year cooling off period.

Players like Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shreyas Iyer could be the star attraction in the auction.

They are also expected to enter the auction.

Although, franchises might be reluctant to buy them as these players (barring Rohit) are expected to play domestic tournaments at the same time when the league will be on.

Though, many players like Akhil Herwadkar, Jay Bista, Dhawal Kulkarni, Aditya Tare would be available to play the T20 league.
