Phil Salt was at his devastating best during the sixth Pakistan vs England T20I as he played a whirlwind knock at the Gaddafi Stadium. The right-handed batsman came out to open the innings with Alex Hales and gave England a flying start in the must-win clash.

He hit a four on the very first ball of England’s chase and did not look back after that. In the first over, he scored two fours before hitting Shahnawaz Dahani for a four and a six in the second over. He and Hales brought up England’s fifty in just 3 overs to lay the foundation for the chase.

Hales’ knock came to an end in the 4th over but it did not affect Phil Salt much as he kept playing the big shots. By the time the powerplay came to an end, he had raced away to 45 off just 17 balls and went on to complete his second T20I fifty in just 19 balls.
