Sam Curran Is Only Silver-Lining In CSK Squad: Gautam Gambhir

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered their second consecutive win in the IPL 2020 as they overpowered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets on Thursday. There has been very little positive to talk about in the CSK camp with England all-rounder Sam Curran and young Ruturaj Gaikwad among them.
Gaikwad batted brilliantly against KKR as he notched up 72 off 53 ball before a late flourish from Ravindra Jadeja to take CSK home. Sam Curran, on the other hand, has been the most valuable player for CSK in the IPL 2020. He has batted at different positions and also contributed with the ball.
Sam Curran is young and going to get better every year: Gautam Gambhir
Former India opener and KKR captain Gautam Gambhir said that there is a lot of changes required in the squad. He also mentioned that Sam Curran is the only sliver-lining in the entire squad and as a youngster he will get better and better every year. Gambhir believes that Curran can become the best all-rounder.
“They (CSK) have got age not on their side. They need to revamp the entire squad. There are guys in the squad who are talented but it’s difficult to continue with most of them. You might just see one or two faces but probably you would see a completely new CSK going into the auction in 2021.”
“CSK have a history of not being so active in the auction. They will probably be the most active team at the auction table. I’m sure you are going to see a good young side. There will a bit of experience but there will a lot of energy because I don’t see this current player continuing for a very long time,” he added.
CSK have been knocked out of the IPL 2020 playoff race but they still have chance to play for their pride.
