In Terms Of Wicket-Keeping, I Think It Would Be Rishabh Pant: Sanjay Bangar On MS Dhoni's Replacement

Rishabh Pant has long been hailed as the ideal successor to the legendary MS Dhoni but the southpaw has not been able to nail his spot as India’s first-choice keeper in white-ball cricket due to his inconsistent returns in international cricket.
Pant lost his spot to KL Rahul in the limited-overs sides at the backend of the last season and this IPL was supposed to be his biggest opportunity to nail down his spot.
The Delhi swashbuckler has a decent IPL 2020 campaign thus far, and has scored 171 runs in five games at an average of 42.75 and a strike-rate of 139.02
Sanjay Bangar on Rishabh Pant as a replacement for MS Dhoni
Former Indian batting coach, Sanjay Bangar feels that in terms of wicketkeeping, Rishabh Pant is an ideal choice to replace MSD.
Bangar further added that since Pant is a left-handed batsman, his presence in the middle-order will provide a great balance to the Indian batting-unit.
“In terms of wicket-keeping, I think it would be Rishabh Pant. I think the way he started this year’s IPL and I think it is very important to have a left-hander as an option because for Team India when it comes to the middle order it helps to balance out the right-handers,” Bangar said on Star Sports show Cricket Connected.
Meanwhile, the southpaw will be hoping to continue with his good run-of-form in the remainder of the IPL.
