Virat Kohli is the most consistent batsman in the world.

Kohli had scored a fine 149 in the first Edgbaston Test. Furthermore, the Indian captain also backed it with another 51 in the second innings.

However, despite Virat Kohli’s brilliance, India could not cross the line as they fell 31 runs short of England’s target. Moreover, the tourists have their backs against the wall in the second Test match.

India was bundled out for a paltry score of 107 in the first innings of the ongoing Lord’s Test. The conditions were perfect for fast bowling and England bowlers were able to wreak havoc.

England’s pack leader James Anderson was the chief destroyer of the Indian innings as he scalped five wickets and gave away 20 runs. Therefore, no Indian batsmen were able to get going in arduous conditions.

On the other hand, India was able to bounce back when they took four wickets in the opening session of Day’s 3 play. However, a 189 runs partnership between Jonny Bairstow and James Anderson took the game away from the visitors.

Hence, it was a dominating performance from the home side as they lead by a mammoth 250 runs. Thus, Joe Root led team has put their noses in front.

Therefore, India will need a miracle to save them in the second Test match. Indian batsmen will have to show more resistance to come up good on last two days of ongoing Test.

Shahid Kapoor gave his answer on Twitter to a fan who asked him about his favourite cricketer.
