Mohammed Shami And His Family Planned to Rape, Kill And Dump Me: Hasin Jahan

The estranged wife of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, Hasin Jahan has been making aggrieving statements one after the other ever since she brought an array of allegations against India’s premium fast bowler.

Meanwhile, in a serious claim, Jahan now has drawn a comparison of her situation to a Kathua rape victim. She also called her matter “similar” to the rape case of Asifa.

Hasin made these statements in Kolkata while participating in a protest march held on April 23 against the Kathua rape case.

However, Jahan previously accused Shami of adultery and distinct charges that includes fixing and attempt to murder.

Hasin also lodged a police complaint against the bowler and his family. The situation became murkier when Shami met with an accident to sustain head injuries.

Following the allegations, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) subsequently cancelled the central contract of the bowler, however, he got a clean chit regaining the national contract.

She admitted that Shami’s family tried to rape her and dump her body into the forest after killing her.

“Those who are guilty of the crime should be punished. Even my case is similar to this. But I am alive. Even I have been subjected to what happened in that case,” Jahan said.

“They had planned to rape me, kill me and then dump my body in a forest. It’s been almost two months that I am fighting against all this,” she added while comparing her ordeal.

Meanwhile, the legal proceedings are already underway as the police summoned Shami last week.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Praveen Tripathi informed that they quizzed Shami for a little more than three hours on April 17.

“We can call him anytime but at this point in time, we don’t find it’s necessary. He has been cooperative in this case,” Tripathi added.

Moreover, earlier this month, Hasin Jahan had moved a petition against Shami in the court of the third judicial magistrate, Alipur, praying for a monthly maintenance of Rs 10 lakh for her and their daughter.
