Former Australian cricketer, Shane Warne has recently joined FOX Sports’ star-studded cricket commentary team and will play a lead role in Foxtel’s new and revolutionary 24/7 cricket channel on FOX Sports.
Further, the list also includes 2005 Ashes rival Michael Vaughan, World Cup winner, Isa Guha and Mel Jones.
Warne, however, recently returned to his country after his stint with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.
He was the mentor of the side and guided the young cricketers. Moreover, Royals are still in contentions for the playoffs and will be desperate to make it.
Grateful for the opportunity
The 145-Test veteran said he was delighted to join the Fox Sports cricket revolution ahead of the 2018/19 summer.
“It’s important we make Australians love and trust the game again,” Warne told Fox Sports.
“When people turn on the cricket the fans want to be proud of the team. FOX Sports will revolutionise cricket around the world. The way we will do the commentary and what we will bring to the fans will be super exciting. I’m really happy to be joining the family and the team. Hopefully, I can make it entertaining and help. I can’t wait to get started with this amazing team of commentators,” he added.
Meanwhile, Warne intends to be forthright, as ever in his role with FOX Sports, calling the game he loves with no fear or favour across international fixtures and the Big Bash League.
