Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman, Shikhar Dhawan will be geared up for the match against Delhi Daredevils at their home ground.

The opener of the Hyderabad team, Dhawan will firmly focus on the job at hand. However, at the same time, Dhawan will be missing the fact that he won’t be around with his family especially on his daughter, Aliyah’s birthday on May 5.

The southpaw made it up in the best possible way by posting a special video for his daughter. He shared a beautiful video along with pictures of Aliyah.

It was an emotional message from the swashbuckling southpaw.

“Happy birthday my angel Aliyah. You are a great soul, and we are always proud of you. Have a great day! Sad we are not able to celebrate it together. But our heart is always there with u. Love u lots.??????????” he said.

The one minute video posted by Dhawan has pictures of Aliyah with Dhawan’s wife, Ayesha Mukherjee and their two other kids Rhea and Zoravar.

The southpaw started off the tournament in a spanking fashion scoring an unbeaten 78 and 45. However, he suffered a slump after sustaining an injury.

Following his injury, the southpaw has made scores of 7, 0, 5, 11 and 6. He suffered an injury to his elbow during the match against the Kings XI Punjab in Mohali.

“There’s a confusion because of the hit. There was some swelling, but it has subsided,” said mentor VVS Laxman in response to the injury at the time.

Dhawan meanwhile gave an update on his injury on his twitter handle.

“Thanks to all my fans and well-wishers for the wonderful messages you have been sending and wishing for my recovery. I’m on my path to recovery and will be back in action soon. Till then enjoy the #IPLT20” alongside a video in which he said, “It was a big blow, but haven’t got a fracture. Hope to see you soon and looking forward to playing some good cricket. Injuries are part and parcel of our life and as sportspersons, we take it positively, but I’m grateful that I will be back in action soon. Till then keep enjoying IPL.”

It must be noted that Hyderabad is standing pretty at the 2nd position of the points table following Chennai Super Kings’ victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. A victory against Delhi will again put them in the top of the ladder.
