Once again, the former fast bowler of Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar criticised the current bowling attack of Pakistan for poor show in the middle against Australia. He pointed out the attitude of the fast bowlers, who never looked like picking wickets for the team. Shoaib Akhtar termed Pakistan bowling attack as ”Clueless”

In the ongoing Test at Adelaide, Pakistan bowlers never looked like making things fall in place for the team. They were thrashed all over the park by David Warner alongside Marnus Labuschagne. Both the batsmen kept Pakistan fielders chasing the Pink leather more often than not.

They managed to get an early breakthrough on Day 1 when Shaheen Afridi dismissed Joe Burns. Unfortunately, it was the only moment when Pakistan are with their happy faces. The rest of the day entirely belongs to David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne, who walked back with centuries to their names.

It was a similar show on Day 2 as well. Once again Shaheen Afridi gave an early breakthrough for Pakistan by removing Marnus Labuschagne with the second new ball. Then came the blistering strokes from the willow of David Warner, who smashed his maiden triple century.

Pakistan bowlers waiting for Australia to declare – Shoaib Akhtar

Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar, who wasn’t impressed with the show put on by the fast bowlers, called them ”clueless”. He asked them to change their attitude while bowling to a world-class batsman rather than looking for a declaration or gift of wickets from the opposition.

“Clueless how to take wickets on these tracks. Waiting for Australia to declare or just gift the wickets. Asay Nahi hota bhai!! #AUSvPAK,” Akhtar tweeted.

The blistering knock of David Warner and the stunning spell by Mitchell Starc at the end of the day helped Australia to take the honours on Day 2. In fact, they are on the driver seat of the match with Pakistan losing six wickets for 96 runs in reply to Australia’s 589.
