The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest update of the ICC Women’s ODI rankings and it sees India opener Smriti Mandhana rising up, but at the same time, Mithali Raj, the Indian captain, has slipped a few places in batting rankings.
After her below-par outing in the just-concluded Women’s World Cup, Mithali dropped a rung in the chart with 686 rating points. The veteran India captain accumulated 182 runs from seven games at an average of 26. There are also questions about the 39-year-old continuing to play for India at the international level after India’s exit from the ICC Women’s World Cup.

On the other hand, opener Smriti Mandhana, scored 327 runs from seven games with a best of 123, averaging 46.71 in the showpiece. Besides the duo, vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur climbed one place to the 14th spot.
Harmanpreet came into the World Cup in terrible form with the bat but ended up as India’s second-best batter in the World Cup with 318 runs from seven games. Her highest was 109.
Alyssa Healy Reaches Numero Uno Spot In ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings After Terrific World Cup
Australia batter-wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy moved to the top spot in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings, thanks to her 170 in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup against England, which was the highest score by any batter in a World Cup final, eclipsing Adam Gilchrist’s 149* against Sri Lanka in 2007 World Cup.

The 32-year-old Healy smashed 509 runs, including two hundreds and two half-centuries, across her nine matches at the World Cup at a strike rate of 103.66. Healy finished just ahead of compatriot Rachael Haynes as the tournament’s top scorer.
Four Australians remained in the top six in the latest ODI rankings, with Beth Mooney, Meg Lanning, and Rachel Haynes joining Healy among the world’s top-ranked batters.

Losing finalists, England has something to cheer for as their batter Nat Sciver, who made 148* in the final as they tried in vain to chase down a total in excess of 350, jump to the second spot in the batting rankings. She also claimed the top spot in all-rounder’s rankings usurping Ellyse Perry.
