It has been a busy day for the couple, as they are receiving greetings from all around the world. Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Afridi are few of the eminent personalities who have wished the couple and now, the former Indian captain, Sourav Gangly has also poured his wishes for the duo.

Ganguly, who retired in the year 2008, never played an international game along with Kohli, as the present India skipper made his ODI debut in the year 2008.
Until then, Ganguly had stopped playing ODIs and retired from Tests in November 2008. Kohli made his Test debut in 2011. Though both Kohli and Ganguly played against each other in IPL while playing for their respective teams.
In fact, in the first historic game of IPL in 2008, Kohli was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore side while Ganguly was the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot on December 11 in Italy. The news was in the air since the day selectors announced the squad for just two Test matches against Sri Lanka.
After the end of the Test series, Kohli had said he needs rest, as he has been playing international cricket for past one and a half year. Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian team in Kohli’s absence.
Indian team is currently trailing in the series by a margin of 0-1 The second ODI will be played in Mohali, and the result of this game will decide whether the home side will be able to make a comeback or will Sri Lanka defeat India to pull off the biggest surprise of the year.
