Sreesanth Ready To Play Cricket In Any Part Of The World

Kerala fast bowler Sreesanth can breath a sigh of fresh air as his seven-year ban came to an end earlier this week. The 2011 World Cup winner Sreesanth is desperate to make a comeback to cricket, albeit his match fitness is a cause of concern. He is already in talks with several nations and eyeing to club cricket.

Sreesanth has been regularly putting the hard yards and training with Kerala. He has said that if he gets a call for playing cricket, he is ready to go to any part of the world. The fast bowler also said that he is already in talks with agents in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka as he wants to play club cricket in these countries.

“I am speaking to agents in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka as I want to play cricket at the club levels in these countries. My aim is to represent my country in the 2023 World Cup. Another wish is I want to play in a match at the Lords when the MCC plays the Rest of the World,” Sreesanth was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.

His life ban for his role in alleged spot-fixing during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 was reduced to seven years by the Supreme Court. His state team Kerala has backed him and said that Sreesanth will considered to play in the upcoming Ranji trophy season.

He has played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 Internationals for India, claiming 169 wickets in all. He last played for India back in 2011.

Sreesanth, 37, has often hinted to go on and play till he is 42. He has featured in 73 matches for his state team, picking up 211 wickets, at an average of 35.80 with the help of nine five-wicket hauls to his name.
