SRH Bowling Attack 'Dangerous' For Opposition: Sunil Gavaskar

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have a fine mix of players for the IPL 2020. If players like Jonny Bairstow, David Warner can score for the franchise, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi can help to defend the target with their bowling abilities. Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar has rated the SRH bowling attack highly.

Gavaskar said that Basil Thampi is an impressive bowler. Although he did not perform to the fore in the previous edition of the IPL, Thampi can prove to be a handful. He also added that the SRH bowling line-up can prove to be quite dangerous for the opposition.

“Basil Thampi is also a good bowler. He had bowled really well in the 2018 IPL season. He did not bowl so well in the 2019 IPL because maybe he was not fully fit at that point in time. But this bowling attack can prove to be quite a dangerous one for the opposition.

“Their bowlers have under the radar bowling ability and they can surprise many teams in the tournament,” Sunil Gavaskar told Sports Tak.

SRH will be targeting for their second title in IPL 2020. The franchise will begin their campaign in the IPL 2020 from Monday against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

IPL 2020 will get underway on Saturday with a match between arch-rivals Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). IPL 2020 will begin after a number of hiccups due to the pandemic situation which shifted the tournament from India to UAE.
