'Start Of A New Innings'- Varun Chakravarthy Ties Knot With His Long-Time Girlfriend In Chennai

The year only keeps getting better for leggie Varun Chakravarthy as he tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend in a closed ceremony in Chennai, the photos of which went viral. With the pictures spreading all over social media, cricketers have gone on to congratulate Varun Chakravarthy, who will start a new phase of his life. The wrist-spinner took the cricketing fraternity with his stellar performance in IPL 2020.

Varun Chakravarthy, who plied his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020, was arguably one of the finds for the Indian team. The 29-year old picked up 17 wickets in 13 games at 20.94 while maintaining an economy rate of 6.85. He was also the only bowler in the 13th edition of the cash-rich league to take a fifer when he did so against the Delhi Capitals in Abu Dhabi. Sadly, his efforts were not enough to carry the two-time champions into the playoffs.

However, it was enough for him to make it to India’s T20I squad for the tour of Australia. Unfortunately, Varun Chakravarthy could not take the trip as a shoulder injury forced him out of the visit and left-arm seamer T Natarajan took his spot. It was only justifying that T Natajaran ended up impressing in Australia with his cunning bowling displays against which the Australian batsmen struggled.

Nevertheless, domestic keeper-batsman Arun Karthick took to Instagram to wish Varun on account of getting married by posting one of his pictures.
