Senior India cricketer, Suresh Raina wished his teammate from India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Harbhajan Singh and longed for his success on his 38th birthday.
Meanwhile, Raina and Harbhajan played a pivotal role during CSK’s successful campaign. They returned to the league after two years to lift the trophy for the third time, the most by any team along with Mumbai Indians.
Raina shares a great bond with Punjab-born Harbhajan, who found success at the CSK camp. Both of their children spend time together, as do their wives.
Harbhajan, over the years, had won many accolades for his brilliance with off-spin bowling. He along with Anil Kumble formed one of India’s iconic bowling attack back in the day.
Making his Test debut in 1998, the legendary spinner has bagged 417 wickets in 103 matches. Furthermore, he has 269 wickets to his name in the fifty-overs format with best figures of five for 31.
However, Harbhajan lost his place since Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took over the proceedings.
Raina wishes Harbhajan
Raina, who is currently in England for the limited-overs series took to Instagram to wish his close friend.
In addition to the wishing him, Raina admitted Harbhajan deserves all the good things in life.
“Wish you a very happy birthday Paji @harbhajan3 My big brother deserves nothing but the best! Wish you all the success and happiness! #HappyBirthdayBhajji,” the post read.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan asked for a gift from Raina on his birthday. He asked the southpaw to bring the man of the match award in the first T20I against England along with thanks.
“Thanks brother.. get ma of the match tom,” Harbhajan replied.
