Former Australia all-rounder, Shane Watson feels Team India batsmen will perform much better against Kangaroos later this season as compared to England tour in the ongoing five-Test match series. He remarked they have had fared well in the recent past.

However, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli scored 544 runs in the ongoing series, and Cheteshwar Pujara also contributed with him.

Shane Watson also mentioned about their last tour to England wherein they face difficulties with handling the swing.

“It is not easy to play swing bowling. Trust me when Australia travel to England for Ashes next year, it won’t be easy for them also. England is the only place where the ball swings that much primarily due to conditions. You just can’t land in England once every three years and be successful,” Watson told PTI.

However, Watson also tells Indian batsmen have done well in Australian ground.

Moreover, he also added that Virat Kohli has scored plenty of runs of his career against Australia. Watson also talks about the fabulous century scored by KL Rahul at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and Ajinkya Rahane, who also contributed with his bat as well.

“Look, if you check records, Indian batsmen of late have done well in Australia. Virat has scored loads of runs and I remember a fine century by (KL) Rahul at the SCG. Even Rahane scored a few runs,” he said.

Watson speaks about the ball that they used while playing matches. Kookaburra used to stop swing after 10-15 overs of the match.

However, Dukes, the ball which is used in England has the capacity to swing whole day.

“In Australia, the kookaburra will stop swinging after first 10 or maybe 15 overs, unlike Dukes which can swing all day. I don’t think bounce would be that much of a problem,” he added.

India will play with Australia later this year which is going to be scheduled from November 21, 2018. Shane Watson, however, backed his national team.
