Australian legend Tom Moody has suggested some changes for the super over. This week, the world of cricket saw three super overs being played at international level. The first two were conducted between India and New Zealand in the ongoing T20I series. The former won both the ties. Whereas, another super over took place on Saturday between England and Australia Women’s Cricket Team in a T20I game which England eventually won.

Now, Moody has come up with some suggestions for ICC to make super overs more interesting.

Firstly, he suggested that when a match goes into a super over, toss should take place once again and it should be left on the captain winning the toss to bat or field first.

Secondly, he suggested that two bowlers from the bowling side should be given three bowls each in the super over. These are some really interesting suggestions by the former Aussie legend Moody.

Tom Moody Suggests Interesting Changes In Super Over:

Tom Moody took to Twitter to express his views on super overs.

He tweeted, With all these SuperOvers being played out, I’d like to make two suggestions.

1. A new toss to be conducted for the super over.

2. The bowling side to nominate two bowlers to deliver 3 balls each in the super over.”

Currently, the rules differ to Moody’s opinions. The team chasing the total in regular overs bat first in the super over.

No toss takes place during the super over. As far as the bowling side is concerned, only one bowler can bowl an entire over.

India beat New Zealand in consecutive super overs in the ongoing T20I series. This is New Zealand’s fourth super over loss in the last four months.

However, the heaviest loss for them remains the ICC Cricket World Cup Final loss by the hands of the hosts England. England, on the other hand, is having a fine time in dealing with super overs.

On Saturday, the English women’s team beat the Australian women’s team in another super over.
