Twitter Erupts as India Clinch ODI Series in New Zealand

The India National Cricket Team won the third ODI at the Bay Oval by seven wickets; thus winning the five-match ODI series against New Zealand 3-0. A couple of scores in the sixties from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli; along with a three-wicket haul from Mohammed Shami helped India secure a historic series win on the NZ soil.
India dominated from the word go
Meanwhile, India bowled first after losing the toss and got going immediately. The new-ball bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami struck gold early; picking both the openers inside first six overs. Captain Kane Williamson failed to find runs, as an excellent catch by Hardik Pandya saw his innings getting over. For hosts, Tom Latham and Ross Taylor played the saviour’s role. Though the southpaw scored 51, it was Ross who hammered a valiant 93 in the end.
Later, the wickets fell in a cluster, as India wrapped NZ’s innings on 243. While chasing, the duo of Rohit and Dhawan looked rock solid as always. Trent Boult, the hosts best bowler got them the breakthrough in Shikhar. Much like previous games, Kohli and Rohit laid the foundation and hit respective fifties as well. Though both got out, Rayudu and Karthik then completed the formalities and helped India win the game by seven wickets.
Here is how the Twitter reacted –
I must confess I thought this would be a good, close series. But India is playing at another level. The bowling, in particular, has been exemplary.

Rayudu and Karthik have done their chances no harm. Was a good situation to come into but they have finished this easily
