Mushfiqur Rahim, on Saturday (March 10), guided Bangladesh to one of their best wins in T20Is. The keeper-batsman played a majestic innings of 72 not out to help his side chase down a record 214 against Sri Lanka in Nidahas Trophy.
Rahim displayed a batting of highest quality to steer Bangladesh to their first win of the tournament. His knock came off only 35 balls as Bangladesh chased down the target of 215 with 2 balls to spare. Mushfiqur was adjudged Man of the Match for his match-winning effort. The 30-year-old struck 4 sixes and 5 boundaries in a display of high-quality batting under pressure.
However, the best moment of the game came right after the winning runs were scored. Moments after hitting the winning runs, Rahim couldn’t control his excitement and celebrated the victory in unique style. He looked into the eye of the bowler Thisara Perera and then pulled-off a hilarious snake dance routine in front of the supporters.
