Eid al-Fitr is one of the most prominent religious festivals of the Muslims. It is celebrated by Muslims residing in different nooks and corner of the world.
Twitter celebrates the occasion of Eid
The day marks the end of the Ramadan. It is the holy Islamic month of fasting. The day of Eid is the first and the only day in the month of Shawwal. On this auspicious day, the Muslins are not allowed to fast. The holiday is also the conclusion of the 29-30 days of dawn-sunset fasting. The tradition is followed during the entire month of Ramadan.
The festival of Eid happens to be on the first day of the month of Shawwal. The exact day of the celebrations varies from one locality to the other.
The date for the start of any lunar Hijri month varies. It is based on when the local religious authorities sight the new moon. Hence the exact day of celebration varies.

The occasion of Eid has a particular salat (Ismalic prayer) which consists of two rakats (unit).
It is generally offered to Allah in an open field or a big hall. The people of the Muslim community are of the opinion that they are commanded by Allah which is mentioned in their religious anthology “The Quaran”.
It is a sort of a command by Allah to the Muslims to continue their fast till the last day of Ramadan. They are also expected to play the Zakat al-Fitre before offering Eid prayers.
On the auspicious occasion of Eid on Saturday, all the Muslims present in different nooks and corners of the world is having a gala time.
