Twitter Reacts As Washington Sundar Replaces Injured Kedar Jadhav For Sri Lanka ODIs

The ongoing year just keeps on getting better for 18-year old Washington Sundar. Just a few days ago, the Tamil Nadu allrounder was rewarded for his fine show this year with a maiden India call-up for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka and even before he could end his celebrations, he has received yet another great news. The teenager has been called in as replacement in the ODI side for Kedar Jadhav who has been ruled out of the three-match series due to a hamstring injury.

Sundar has not looked back since impressing in this year’s Indian Premier League. He was roped in by Rising Pune Supergiant as an injury replacement for Ravichandran Ashwin and repaid the faith by taking 11 wickets in nine games at an average of 12 and an impressive economy rate of only 5.54. He also impressed in this year’s Duleep Trophy and continued the same form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, where he has scored 315 runs so including the 159-run knock against Tripura which was his maiden first-class ton in addition to picking up 12 wickets.
