Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has been brutally trolled over his recent tweet regarding the vaccine for the coronavirus pandemic. The World Cup-winning spinner is one of the most active cricketers on social media and makes sure to share his views on matters related not only to cricket but also other affairs.

Harbhajan Singh has not been seen in action since last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) when he plied his trade for Chennai Super Kings. The veteran spinner had played an integral role in CSK’s march to the final where they lost to his former team Mumbai Indians.

He was a part of CSK’s squad for this year’s IPL too but had decided against playing in the competition citing personal reasons. IPL 2020 was held in the UAE due to the coronavirus pandemic. Apart from Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina had also withdrawn from IPL 2020.

CSK clearly felt the absence of the two as they had a tough time in the gulf country. The three-time champions missed out on a playoff spot for the first time in the history of the tournament. The MS Dhoni-led side managed to win just 6 of its 14 league games and finished at the seventh spot.

Harbhajan Singh trolled:

Coming to Harbhajan Singh’s recent tweet, he took to Twitter to ask his followers whether Indians ‘seriously’ need a vaccine against Covid-19. Not very long ago, the entire world was desperate for a vaccine. But now that the scientists have managed to develop a few vaccines, a notable section has expressed its apprehensions over the same.

And Harbhajan Singh is perhaps from the same section. He mentioned that India’s recovery rate without the vaccine is 93.6 percent while vaccines that were being developed seems to have less accuracy rate. Harbhajan also mentioned data stating Pfizer and biotech vaccine’s accuracy is being claimed at 94 percent, while Moderna’s and Oxford’s accuracy rate is at 94.5 percent and 90 percent, respectively.

And the fans were quick to troll him. Some came up with hilarious cricket-related scenarios to make him understand what was wrong with his tweet while some just had fun at his expense. Few also asked the Indian cricket legend to delete the tweet.
