Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been a quality bowler for Indian Cricket team for quite some time now. Recently, he won his fourth Indian Premier League (IPL) title and this time with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Meanwhile, Harbhajan had to shift his base from Mumbai to Chennai after the auctions earlier this year.
Previously, the Jalandhar-based ace spinner represented Mumbai Indians (MI) in 10 IPL edition having won three of them. Although he didn’t fair very well for Chennai. However, it didn’t stop his team from lifting the coveted cup.
In the 13 matches he played, the wily customer could only manage to pick seven wickets. The 37-year-old tweaker also didn’t play the grand finale versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai. He was replaced by leg-spinner Karn Sharma.
One of the most-skilled off-spin bowlers, he has more the 700 international wickets to his name. However, his last international match came against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the 2016 Asia Cup in Bangladesh prior to the World Twenty20 in India.
Moreover, the Turbantor was also a part of the squad but didn’t get any game time.
Since then, he has put in all the efforts in the domestic circuit, however, hasn’t quite been able to impress the selectors.
Harbhajan Singh’s fitness challenge:
Apart from cricket, Harbhajan is also conscious about his fitness. The fitness challenge initiated by Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, India’s minister of Youth Affair and Sports, has been trending for the past few days.
Several sportsmen like Saina Nehwal, Virat Kohli, and Gautam Gambhir have posted their workout videos on social media, signifying their acceptance to the challenge.
The campaign ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ has been doing the rounds for quite a while now.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan has also resorted to the fitness challenge. However, his antics are a tad different from the other sportspersons. He posted a picture of his diet on Twitter.
