Rashid Khan is fast making a name for himself as a very handy lower-order batsman. Having proved himself as a bowler around the world, the Afghanistan superstar has now started impressing with the bat too. On Tuesday, he impressed with the bat again as he starred in Barbados Tridents’ narrow win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the second match of CPL 2020.
Rashid Khan played an unbeaten knock of 26 off 20 balls to help his side recover from 8 for 3 and then 101 for 7 to post a competitive 153 for 9. His knock was studded with a couple of fours and an outrageous six off fast-bowler Alzarri Joseph.

The stunning six:
Time and again, one has seen Rashid Khan play MS Dhoni’s trademark helicopter shot on the field. But the shot that he played on Tuesday to deposit the ball in the stands was absolutely outrageous. It was all strong wrist work as Rashid Khan sent the ball deep into the stands at mid-wicket.
Joseph bowled a length ball outside off and what followed thereafter left everyone awestruck. Rashid Khan came across the stumps, and flicked the ball for a six.
Here is a clip of that stunning shot:

Meanwhile, Barbados Tridents started their title defence with a narrow six-run win over the Patriots. After their top-order failed to get going, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Mitchell Santner and Rashid Khan contributed with the bat to help the Tridents finish on 153 for 9.
In reply, Patriots finished their innings on 147 for 5. After impressing with the bat, Rashid and Santner starred with the ball too, picking up two wickets each to guide their team to a thrilling win.
