Former Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 50th birthday in front of a huge crowd at the Wankhede Stadium during the 31st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Punjab Kings. The batting great did the cake-cutting celebration in front of the crowd.
Sachin Tendulkar, who has been the legend of the game, has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians. The batter scored truckloads of runs (2234) for the team and played an instrumental role in their title win in 2013. As he cut the cake almost 30,000 fans in the stadium cheered for him.

Coincidentally, the year 2023 marks 10 years since Sachin Tendulkar retired from the game of cricket. Apart from this, Mumbai Indians management also had installed a special Tendulkar in place outside the Garware pavilion at the Wankhede.

MI vs PBKS: Mumbai Indians concede 214 runs in the first innings
Bowling first, after winning the toss, Mumbai Indians had a great start with the ball as they were all over the PBKS and removed a few early wickets. A staggering bowling performance saw them reducing the opposition to 83/4. With Piyush Chawla, Arjun Tendulkar, and Cameron Green doing the damage.

It seemed that they would reduce them to a low total. But after that, they had no answers to the onslaught by Sam Curran (55), Harpreet Bhatia (41), and Jitesh Sharma (25). They took MI bowlers to cleaners and smashed them all over the park. MI had no clue about what they do as they conceded 109 runs in the last 6 overs that saw PBKS posting 214 runs on the board.
