Indian Test captain, Virat Kohli, was seen enjoying the nets session with the head coach, Rahul Dravid, giving some advice in between. The top-ranked side is scheduled to play a 3-match Test series against South Africa starting on December 26.

Kohli has been out-of-form by his standards. He last scored a century over two years ago against Bangladesh. He is also under pressure from the board after his recent press conference indicated lots of miscommunication between the two parties.

Setting those things aside, Kohli engaged in a batting session. The Indians arrived at the ground before starting the warmups, as seen in the video released by the BCCI. Along with Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rishabh Pant were seen having a go. Even Ravichandran Ashwin spent some time in the middle with the bat.

The Indian team has been dependent on their lower-order to contribute with the bat and save the top-order’s blushes far too often. Kohli and co. will be keen on ensuring the situation doesn’t come down to the same thing again.
