Chennai Super Kings have received a brilliant start to their innings after choosing to bowl first in the ongoing match against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After Deepak Chahar removed Mayank Agarwal in the fourth ball of the innings, Chennai Super Kings proceeded to dismiss captain KL Rahul. KL Rahul, who scored 91 in Punjab’s first match, hardly opened his account before walking back.

Chris Gayle, who was on strike for the 5th delivery of that over, was hit on the pad. With the ball pitched outside leg and the ball pinged to short over, he set off and Ravindra Jadeja fired the ball and hit the stumps directly as KL Rahul found himself short of the crease at the striker’s end. The Super Kings made an outstanding comeback after Gayle smacked the first Deepak Chahar’s first two balls for a boundary.

Meanwhile, both sides remained unchanged for the game. Chennai Super Kings would be desperate for a victory after losing their opening match to the Delhi Capitals in Mumbai by seven wickets. On the other hand, Punjab Kings overcame Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson’s blistering hundred to win a high-scoring fixture by four runs at the Wankhede Stadium in their inaugural game.
