IND vs SA: Watch - Comedy Of Errors From SA Fielders Saves KL Rahul From Getting Run Out In The 2nd ODI

Indian captain KL Rahul enjoyed a reprieve during the second ODI between India and South Africa taking place at the Boland Park in Paarl on Friday.

Batting alongside Rishabh Pant at the crease, Rahul was gifted a life after the South African fielders made a mess of the simplest run-out chance.

Facing Keshav Maharaj in the 15th over, Pant tucked a delivery onto the on side and set off for a run. Temba Bavuma dashed across and slid to collect the ball, seeing which, Pant stopped in his tracks and went back.

However, Rahul had already moved halfway across the pitch before Pant decided to turn down the single. Both the batters ended up at the same crease but the throw fired at the non-striker’s end was fumbled by Maharaj.

By the time the fielder in the deep could come and collect, Rahul had already run back and reached the crease.

Rahul was livid at Pant and stared angrily at the young wicket-keeper batter before having a chat. The situation didn’t cost India fortunately, considering their situation could have worsened having already lost Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli inside the first 15 overs.
