Kieron Pollard is easily one of the best all-rounders the white-ball game has seen. He has successfully led the West Indies ODI and T20I teams and has been grooming Nicholas Pooran as his successor as well. However, recently at a Trinidad T10 game, Pollard lost his cool at Pooran.

Though usually, Pollard is one of the coolest minds in cricket, he never backs down in a confrontation and the best example of that is his clash with Australia pacer Mitchell Starc, during an Indian Premier League (IPL 2015) clash between Pollard’s Mumbai Indians and Starc’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Starc aimed his delivery at the Windies batter, who had moved out of the way, which resulted in Pollard almost throwing his bat at Starc in retaliation. The video of this encounter is widely available online.

Nicholas Pooran Tried Switch Hit At Kieron Pollard; Pollard Hurls The Ball At The Batter

Pollard’s hot-headed behavior was once again on display at a T10 game in Trinidad when his Scarlet Ibis Scorchers clashed with Nicholas Pooran’s Leatherback Giants. During the match, Pollard was seen bowling off-spin against Windies teammate Nicholas Pooran.

Pooran decided to experiment a bit and tried to play a switch-hit, changing his stance and grip to a right-handed batter. But Pollard being the veteran, stopped midway into his delivery stride. The bowler then in a bid to intimidate Pooran, kept looking at him before throwing the ball to the wicketkeeper while the bowler stood shadow batting.

Later, after a few deliveries, when Pooran was at the non-striker’s end, Pollard tried to mankad the left-handed batter, who was safely behind his crease.

Batting first Scorchers posted a challenging 128/3 in their 10 overs, with Pollard smashing 27 off 14 balls. In response, Pooran returned unbeaten on 101 off 37 deliveries, which included six 4s and ten 6s. Pollard gave away 21 runs in his 2 overs.
