Vinod Rai Suggests Two-ODI Ban On Hardik Pandya And KL Rahul, Diana Edulji To Take Final Call

It seems like a ban on players looks obvious, as the higher officials aren’t pleased with the explanation given by Hardik Pandya. The Committee of Administrators Chief Vinod Rai isn’t convinced with the Hardik Pandya’s report, as he recommended a couple of ODI matches ban for Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. However, the final call will be taken by Dian Edulji.

KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, who attended the Koffee With Karan show, ended up on the wrong side of things. In particular, the all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who failed to carry himself on the Talk show passed on a few sexist comments.

However, later, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya issued an apology on Wednesday after his appearance on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan drew criticism from every quarter for his ‘misogynist’, ‘sexist’, and ‘racist’ remarks.

Meanwhile, the chief Vinod Rai isn’t convinced with them. Rai added that he recommended a couple of ODI bans for the respective cricketers, who attended the show and passed on distasteful comments.

Further, he added that those comments made by Hardik Pandya were absolutely ill. Regarding the ban, Vinod Rai clarified that Diana Edulji will take the final call. She will look after the rule books before making her decision out.

“I am not convinced with Hardik’s explanation. I have recommended a two-match ban for both players. However, the final decision will be taken once Diana gives her to go ahead. Diana has sought legal opinion whether the duo can be banned,” Vinod Rai said.

”So, obviously, a decision will be taken once she gives her nod. As far as I am concerned, the comments were crass. They are in bad taste and unacceptable,” Vinod Rai was quoted as saying by the Free Press Journal.

However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Hardik Pandya. Most probably, he hasn’t got any way to escape from it, as the show was already aired and also went viral. Most Probably, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul would end up receiving bans.
